Submission Process
Tellura is a curated catalog: every novel is read by an editorial moderator before it appears. Here is how the process works at public launch. During the closed beta, submissions are by invitation only.
Three steps.
Submit your novel.
Title, synopsis, cover, genre tags, and your first chapter. The submission is drafted in your private dashboard until you mark it ready for review.
Editorial review.
A human moderator reads the first chapter and the synopsis to confirm the novel meets our guidelines — original work, accurate tagging, content policy. Target turnaround is five business days at launch; longer queues are flagged in the dashboard.
Publication, or feedback.
Approved novels go live in the catalog and you can begin publishing chapters on your own schedule. If a moderator declines a submission, you receive specific, actionable feedback and may revise and resubmit.
Submission limits.
An author may have up to three novels in the review queue at once. There is no limit on the number of approved novels you may publish on the platform.
All submissions and editorial decisions are logged. Authors may view the status of their submissions and the reason for any rejection from the author dashboard.
The closed beta is invite-only.
We are admitting authors in small cohorts during 2026. The full submission system opens to the public at launch. Until then, beta access is granted by invitation.
