Morally Grey Lead Web Novels

Morally grey leads live between hero and villain: they lie, compromise, and sometimes do real harm, and the story neither excuses nor condemns them outright. The tag is about the narration as much as the character: the story declines to hand you the verdict, so the reader does the work. That refusal is easier to sustain in a serial. Pair with anti-hero or dark.
