Grimdark Web Novels

Grimdark is the heaviest end of dark fantasy: worlds where good rarely wins, characters who survive by becoming worse, and no easy redemption. Victories are partial and cost something permanent. The distinction from dark is scope: dark novels hurt their characters, grimdark builds worlds where the hurt is the default. Long serials suit it, since erosion has room to happen slowly.
