Chapter 42 — Serpent Beast Horde
Fire Path Killer Move — Crimson Flame Soar.
Using the killer move, Li Tianyu flew through the sky at tremendous speed.
A crimson streak crossed the horizon.
After several minutes...
Li Tianyu suddenly slowed down.
He hovered in midair and looked downward.
Below him was a vast stretch of land occupied by an enormous horde of serpentine beasts.
They were Thunder Scale Serpents.
Their bodies were covered in dark scales, with faint arcs of lightning constantly flickering between them.
There were dozens of Thousand Beast Kings.
Hundreds of Hundred Beast Kings.
And thousands upon thousands of ordinary Thunder Scale Serpents.
At the very center of the horde...
A gigantic serpent was coiled around a rocky hill.
Its body was hundreds of meters long.
Dark purple scales covered its enormous frame, while lightning constantly crackled around its two curved horns.
It was the Myriad Beast King — Purple Lightning Horned Serpent King.
The moment it sensed Li Tianyu...
Its enormous head lifted.
Its vertical pupils locked onto him.
"Hissssss!"
The terrifying hiss echoed throughout the wilderness.
The Purple Lightning Horned Serpent King opened its enormous maw.
Purple lightning gathered within it.
Boom!
A thick beam of lightning shot toward Li Tianyu.
Li Tianyu calmly activated his killer move.
Fire Path Killer Move — Crimson Flame Soar.
His figure instantly transformed into a crimson streak.
The lightning passed beneath him and struck the distant ground.
Boom!
The earth exploded.
Li Tianyu didn't waste any time.
He immediately began his harvest.

Crimson flames erupted from the ground.
Chains of condensed flame shot upward and wrapped around a group of Thunder Scale Serpents.
Several dozen beasts were restrained at once.
Some were Hundred Beast Kings.
Others were ordinary beasts.
The chains tightened around them.
However...
That was the limit.
Li Tianyu couldn't bind the entire horde simultaneously.
There were simply too many beasts.
Thousands of Thunder Scale Serpents remained free.
Some immediately attacked him.
Lightning bolts.
Poisonous liquids.
Wind blades.
Flames.
Various wild Gu worms were activated.
Li Tianyu didn't care.
He simply flew around the battlefield while dodging their attacks.
The restrained beasts struggled desperately.
The chains of flame continuously burned against their bodies.

Crimson flames surged around him.
The flames rapidly condensed into countless weapons.
Lances.
Swords.

Fireballs.

And countless other shapes.
The weapons weren't particularly powerful individually.
That was intentional.
His goal wasn't to kill the beasts.
It was to steal their Gu worms.
By reducing the power of each flame weapon, Li Tianyu could create an enormous number of them.
Hundreds of flaming weapons filled the sky.
Then—
Whoosh!
They descended.
Dozens of flaming weapons attacked each restrained beast.
The Thunder Scale Serpents frantically activated their wild Gu.
Defensive Gu created barriers.
Some hardened their scales.
Others generated lightning shields.
The first wave of attacks was blocked.
But the remaining weapons continued forward.
Several flaming weapons pierced through the gaps in their defenses.
Boom!
The weapons exploded against their bodies.
The beasts howled in pain, as both their body and soul were injured.
Yet they remained alive.
Then...
Something strange happened.
The flames surrounding the weapons suddenly changed.
The theft effect activated.
One after another...
Wild Gu worms were forcibly pulled from the bodies of the injured beasts.
The stolen Gu worms emerged from their bodies enclosed within small balls of crimson flame.
They instinctively attempted to flee.
But they couldn't escape.
Li Tianyu controlled the flame balls.
The flame-enclosed Gu worms were immediately drawn toward him.
One.
Ten.
Dozens.
Soon...
A large number of wild Gu worms entered his aperture.
Li Tianyu's eyes flashed.
'Good.'
The Crimson Soul Snatch wasn't merely an attack.
The theft ability was integrated directly into the flaming weapons.
As long as the weapon successfully struck its target...
There was a chance for it to steal the Gu worm.
Li Tianyu didn't need to approach the beasts himself.
That greatly increased the safety of his harvesting method.

Another group of beasts was harvested.
Then the process repeated.

Move to another group.
Bind again.
Steal again.
Li Tianyu carefully maintained the rhythm.
He didn't attempt to restrain too many beasts at once.
He couldn't.
The killer move had a fixed limit.
Therefore, he simply harvested the horde group by group.
Meanwhile...
The Purple Lightning Horned Serpent King continued watching.
It repeatedly launched attacks toward Li Tianyu.
Lightning beams tore through the sky.
Li Tianyu continuously dodged.
He didn't even consider fighting it.
The gap between them was simply too large.
After finishing another group...

The Myriad Beast King reacted immediately.
Its enormous body moved with surprising speed.
Most of the weapons were avoided.
The remaining ones struck its body.
Boom!
Boom!
Crimson flames exploded against its scales.
But...
Nothing happened.
The Purple Lightning Horned Serpent King's natural defense was simply too powerful.
The attacks couldn't even injure it.
Li Tianyu's expression became slightly solemn.
'As expected.'
His current combat strength was already enough to contend with multiple ordinary Rank Three Gu Masters.
But a Myriad Beast King was on an entirely different level.
Its physical body alone possessed terrifying defensive power.
Even when his flames struck directly...
They couldn't break through its defenses.

He never stayed in one place for long.
Whenever a group was harvested, he moved to another.
Whenever the Myriad Beast King attacked...
He immediately fled.
He didn't fight.
He didn't try to injure it.
He simply continued stealing from the weaker beasts.
Eventually...
The entire process finally came to an end.
Li Tianyu checked his aperture.
His harvest was substantial.
75 Rank Three Gu worms.
1,806 Rank Two Gu worms.
16,459 Rank One Gu worms.
Li Tianyu glanced toward the distant Purple Lightning Horned Serpent King.
The enormous beast was still staring at him.
Its eyes were filled with fury.
"Hissssss!"
Its roar shook the surrounding forest.
Li Tianyu didn't linger.
He activated Crimson Flame Soar.
His body transformed into a crimson streak and disappeared into the distance.
The Purple Lightning Horned Serpent King could only watch him leave.
It had been completely powerless to stop the strange human Gu Master from plundering its weaker subordinates.
Li Tianyu flew farther and farther away.
Only after he was certain that the Myriad Beast King wasn't pursuing him did he finally slow down.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
'Another successful harvest.'
He hadn't killed the beasts.
He hadn't fought the Myriad Beast King.
He had simply taken what he could...
And left.
