ANNOUNCEMENT CARRIERS: Book 1 is Complete! | The Descent into Book 2

Hey everyone, We’ve officially reached the summit! Chapter 12 & the Epilogue of CARRIERS: Book 1 are live, bringing our first major arc on Tillamook Crest to a close. When I first started writing this serial, I wanted to create a grounded, sensory-heavy sci-fi experience centered on raw human trauma, high-stakes atmospheric tension, and the terrifying cost of forced evolution. Seeing your reactions to Elena’s fierce maternal drive, Maya’s quiet resilience, Isaac’s breaking point, and Diana’s tragic peace at the focal ring has been incredible. What’s Next? (Book 2: THE UNBOUND) While Book 1 was a post-apocalyptic fight for survival against the mountain and the quarantine collapse, Book 2 shifts into a dystopian resistance sci-fi. The extraction tower is shattered, but stepping off Tillamook Crest into the dark, unmapped western valley brings a whole new kind of threat:

  • The Steel Cohort: The militarized remnant controlling the lower basin railheads. Led by the ruthless Commander Victor Snow, they view carriers not as human beings, but as dangerous bio-hazards to be hunted and high-yield energy assets to be harvested for their power grid.

  • The Faraday Wall: Commander Snow is constructing a massive, high-voltage containment grid across the western basin to farm and purge carriers.

  • The Unbound: Elena, Maya, and the survivors must navigate deeper into the timber to find the Unbound—enclaves of carriers who have embraced the signal and learned to live with their evolution.
